A Shelter can protect you from enemy observation and the elements, and can give you a feeling of well-being. In some areas, the shelter is more important than food or water. When you are exposed to the mob in the wild, it can be very hazardous to your game, indeed!
Remember, the most common mistake is making the shelter too large. It only needs to contain your body in the cold climate. Also, it should be concealed from mob and wild animals found in the area. Do not build in low areas such as empty creeks , lakes, or rivers, and not to mention, potential "Avalanches".

Building Shelter
When building shelter, you can use a variety of materials around you. A common material for building shelter is wood planks. To get wood planks, you need to break down a tree. Once you have gathered all of the wood you feel that you need, you'll need to break the wood down into wood planks. Luckily, for every piece of wood you have, you'll get four blocks of wood planks. Now that you've got all the materials you need, it's time to build.
